Books are printed! Plus: New Pain talent search!

Micronauts!

Apologies for not updating last week, I had a travel day Friday to Missouri for a comic con (with New Pain's own Tom Nguyen).

I did get word from the printer last Friday that the books are all printed and ready to be fulfilled.  We spent a lot of time last week trouble shooting and replacing different files to make sure Microscopic #1 looks as sharp as possible. I think everyone will be pleased with the printing.

New Pain will coordinate with the printing house on their fulfillment schedule but I'd imagine packages will hit the mail by the end of the week, early next. T-shirts and art rewards will be sent separately because they require different packaging. Raffaele and I are still working on the head sketches and full figure drawings so those will be coming a little bit further down the line. 

All in all, it looks like the project will take about two weeks longer to fulfill than we had anticipated; there are still some minor bugs to work out in the production process but everyone should have their packages by the end of June, as promised. We'll continue to streamline things on our end; the ultimate goal for New Pain is 100% efficient, on-time fulfillment.

As mentioned previously, for those of you that may be interested, the next New Pain campaign will be for Daybreak! #2 will be launching in mid-July. Here's a sneak peek at page one for everyone, written (and lettered) by me with art and color by Stefan Tosheff.

And finally, there's been some talk around the New Pain compound about putting together a new anthology title, sort of a New Pain Presents! kind of thing. The details are still being discussed and finalized but if you think you may have a project you'd like to submit for consideration, just email [email protected] and we'll be happy to take a look.  There's an awful lot of talent out there and it would be great to be able to help showcase some of it in our own little way.

Micronauts!

Sorry for the update late in the day. Normally I try to send these notes out in the mornings but I just got a nice little package in the mail that I wanted to share!

The printer delivered the proofing copies to my home office today! We're just about there with these things. I have some notes on some of the files and the printing house pointed out some digital artifacts that need to be resolved so we're going to put the work in next week, get these issues solved and hit the "PRINT" button on this run. 

In other news, 2-3 of you have had issues with submitting your surveys, with an extra question #2 that you're not able to answer. We'll be working with backerkit next week to solve that problem; don't stress that you're going to miss out on anything. New Pain can always manually input your info and you'll still get your books/shirts regardless. 

Thanks for your patience! This project is just about ready to be fulfilled.

Hey Micronauts!

Super quick update to let you all know that Backerkit's Smoke Test went out yesterday and everything looks hunky dory. As a result, the rest of the surveys have been released into the wilds of your email boxes this morning. 

New Pain would like to lock orders by the middle of next week so they can get this campaign fulfilled by mid-June. If you guys can take a minute to fill out your surveys, you know how the saying goes: teamwork makes the dream work. 

We're excited for all of you to enter the tiny world of Microscopic #1!
